The sound for this project is my signature raw, gritty sound but with a more cinematic vibe.

I essentially wanted bangers. I also incorporated a few introspective records like "Mind fuck pt. 2" and "do right ft raz" where I delve a little more deeper with vulnerability and let the listener into my personal feelings and thoughts. The title just came naturally.

I was listening through the songs trying to come up with a title and lately I've been really motivated in music and in life, and so I kept hearing the lines "put in work" in my mind. I say it about 5 times through it the project. I also thought then to play off my russian heritage while simultaneously embodying the "put in work" slogan with a Putin concept.

I don't necessarily condone nor support Putin but one thing is for certain is he's a Russian reality, his name holds weight and he is an intellectual in his own way. I don't agree with all of his politics.

The title to me wasn't meant to signify an allegiance to Putin but it's more or less play off that concept.

Whether it's controversial, edgy or misunderstood, I'm okay with it.

이 프로젝트의 사운드는 저 Avatar Darko만의 거칠고 가공되지 않은, 그렇지만 영화같은 바이브를 지녔습니다.

저는 근본적으로 멋진 음악을 만들고 싶었죠. 그리고 저의 약점을 좀 더 깊게 탐구하는 “Mind Fuck Pt.2” 와 “Do Right ft.Raz” 같은 자아 성찰적인 트랙을 넣음으로써 리스너들이 제 생각과 감정에 녹아들도록 유도했습니다.

믹스테잎 제목은 자연스럽게 나왔습니다. 전 완성된 트랙들을 들으며 제목을 떠올리려고 노력했죠.

그리고 최근들어 음악과 삶에 많은 의욕을 느꼈어요. 그래서 그런지 제 마음에 자꾸 “실행에 옮겨라 (put in work)” 라는 말이 떠올랐고 프로젝트를 들으며 그 문장을 입으로 중얼거렸습니다. 그러자 “Put In Work” 문장에서 "Put In" 은 러시아의 대통령인 “Putin”(푸틴) 즉 제 러시아인으로서의 신원을 상기시켜주었고 제 앨범의 이미지를 구축하는데 참고가 되었습니다.

전 푸틴을 용납하거나 지지하지는 않지만 한가지 확실한 것은 그는 러시아의 현실이고 그의 이름에는 무게가 있다는것입니다. 그리고 그는 그만의 방식으로 지적이죠.

그의 정치적 성향을 동조하지는 않습니다. 이 제목은 제가 푸틴을 향한 충성심을 표하는 것도 아니고 단지 컨셉에 지나지 않습니다.

그러므로 이것이 논란거리가 되거나 오해를 불러일으킨다 하더라도 저는 개의치 않을 것입니다.
